SYNAPSER (PTY) LTD – REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Gain For Me Share and Earn promotional campaign ("Campaign") operated by Synapser (Pty) Ltd, with its registered address at Unit 5, 6 Abrey Road, Kloof, Durban, 3610 ("Promoter", "we", "us"). These Terms apply to Participants residing in the Republic of South Africa.

By entering this Promotional Campaign, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.     IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PARTICIPANTS

In line with section 49 of the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008, certain clauses below may limit the Promoter’s liability or require you to indemnify the Promoter. These clauses are important and include, without limitation, clauses 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

Please read these Terms carefully.

2.     ELIGIBILITY

Only Promotional Campaign entries by the following Participants will qualify as valid entries:

i.              Are legal residents of South Africa;

ii.              Are 18 years or older;

iii.              Possess a valid South African ID or a valid passport;

iv.              Have their own personal valid, working South African mobile number; and

v.              Have access to a smartphone compatible with the Gain For Me (G4M) App. Such smartphones must run an Android operating system limited to versions supported by the Google Play Store or an iOS operating system compatible with the App Store.

3.     EXCLUSIONS

The following persons will not qualify to win a prize:

i.              Employees, directors, or agents of the Promoter;

ii.              Merchandisers, agencies, or suppliers involved in the Promotional Campaign;

iii.              Their immediate family members (spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, and grandparents);

iv.              Any person directly or indirectly controlling or controlled by the Promoter.

4.     CAMPAIGN PERIOD

The Promotional Campaign will run from 27 June 2025 and ends when the pool of R500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Rands) has been rewarded.

No entries received outside the Campaign Period will be accepted. The Promoter reserves the right to extend the campaign period.

5.     ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To enter and earn your share of R500,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Rands) worth of Rewards, Participants must:

5.1  Complete the following steps:

When you refer, your referee must do the following for YOU (the referrer) to qualify to earn a R5 Shoprite Voucher per successful referral.

‘Successful Referral’ means that your referee has completed the steps A-H below:

A.    Download the Gain For Me App from the Google Play Store or Apple App store and follow the prompts to register your user profile on the App;

B.    Make sure you enter the referral number you received via WhatsApp, SMS, or email.

C.    By participating in the Synapser (Pty) Ltd / Gain For Me Share and Earn Promotional Promotional Campaign, you are deemed to have read and agreed to these Synapser (Pty) Ltd

D.    Complete the Gain For Me General Profile Survey.

E.    In the Rewards Centre: Watch the 30 second Gain For Me Advert, look out for the code near the end of the advert and enter the code as directed;

F.     In the Rewards Centre: Click on the wallet icon;

G.   Register your digital identity by performing a facial recognition scan as prompted and upload either your ID or passport;

5.2           On the Wallet page: Click on “Transfer your Funds’’ and link your Shoprite Money Market Account and Xtra Savings Card to the Gain For Me App as prompted;

5.3           After your referee completes steps, A – H, a R5.00 (five Rand) Shoprite voucher will be loaded to your Money Market Account.

5.4    Campaign rewards will be loaded to your Money Market Account weekly after completion of the weekly audit.

5.5  Use a mobile number:

i.            That is owned and registered in the name of the Participant;

ii.            That is contactable during office hours (08h00–17h00, Monday to Friday);

iii.            That is not used for multiple entries. Each Participant may only use one mobile number to enter the Promotional Campaign.

5.6    The Promoter may disqualify any entry submitted with an unregistered or duplicated number and reclaim any Prize or Reward awarded based on false or misleading information.

5.7    Participants may only submit one entry which will be verified against the users ID or passport.

6.     VERIFICATION & PARTICIPATION

By entering:

i.            You confirm that all submitted information is true, current, and complete.

ii.            All entries are subject to verification.

iii.            The Promoter reserves the right to reject any entry or disqualify any Participant suspected of fraud or non-compliance with these Promotional Campaign Terms and Conditions.

7.              The Campaign is open to Money Market Account registered and active users only.

8.          This Campaign is open from 27 June 2025 and ends when the pool of R500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Rands) has been rewarded.

9.            Rewards: The Participant may earn Shoprite vouchers paid into their Money Market Account as follows: R5 voucher for every successful verified sign up using their referral code and completing steps A – H as detailed in clause 5.1.

10. PUBLICITY & CONSENT

10.1       Winners may be requested (but not required) to appear in marketing material or promotional content, including photographs or videos shared online, in print, or on-air.

10.2       Participants will have the right to decline such publicity in writing.

11. LIABILITY LIMITATION

Neither the Promoter nor the prize sponsors will be liable for:

i.              Late, lost, incomplete, corrupted, or misdirected entries or SMS / WhatsApp or In App communications;

ii.              Technical failures or delays in transmission;

iii.              Any damage or loss (direct or indirect) arising from participation in the Promotional Campaign or use of a Prize.

12. INDEMNITY

To the extent permitted by law, all Participants agree to indemnify the Promoter and its agents, employees, prize sponsors and suppliers from any claims or damages arising from their participation in this Promotional Campaign or acceptance of any Prize.

13. FRAUD, ERRORS & TERMINATION

13.1       The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or modify the Promotional Campaign if fraud, technical failures, or any other factors impair the integrity of the Promotional Campaign.

13.2       The Promoter may terminate the Promotional Campaign early due to events beyond its control (force majeure).

14. DATA PROTECTION AND POPIA

14.1       By entering, Participants consent to the Promoter processing their personal information for the purposes of giving effect to the Promotional Campaign, including:

i.            Entry validation;

ii.            Winner contact and verification;

iii.            Publicity (if consented to); and

iv.            Marketing communications (opt-out at any time).

14.2       Personal data is collected and used in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

14.4       Participants may request access to or correction of their personal information at any time by emailing info@synapser.com.

15. GENERAL CONDITIONS

15.1       Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable for cash.

15.2       The Promoter and prize sponsors will be entitled to substitute an unavailable prize with one of equal or greater value.

15.3       Any tax implications are the sole responsibility of the winner.

15.4       The Promoter’s decision regarding winner draws and prize awarding is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

15.5       These Terms shall be governed by the laws of South Africa.

15.6       If any clause is held unenforceable, the rest of the Terms will still apply.
